The Outoul Association for Development and Assistance to the Woman and Child, was founded on September 25, 2003 as an initiative of residents of Douar Doutmanroute ait Ouafka, Cercle of Tahala district of Tiznit.
The village residents present at this meeting appointed Mr. Nait Taadouit Ahmed to chair the inaugural meeting.
After having established and clarified the objectives of the Association and presented the articles of incorporation, a committee was elected whose office is to be located at "Le foyer de la Femme" sponsored by Mr. Ahmed Nait Taadouit and which he has placed at the disposal of the Association, free of charge, for a period of 5 years.
The Association was created following the very positive reaction of the women and girls of the village keen to acquire knowledge and obtain general education and training in embroidery and weaving. This is the only such initiative in the region which lacks institutions promoting orientation, education and training of the rural woman with a view to involving her in the process of development.
The committee of the Association is composed of 11 members including 6 women, 3 of whom are permanent residents of the village.
As we lack experience in this and associated fields, we have decided to create this website in order to give us access to the world at large and to appeal to all those who can be of assistance to us in providing support, ideas, a partnership, a link or any kind of contribution that could help us succeed in our mission to support the rural woman and child.
